Patna: class up to 8 to remain suspended up to 8 Jan

Patna: With a cold shivering city for the past few days, Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh on Sunday issued orders that prohibit academic activities in all private schools and the government to class VIII until January 8 for XII will be held between 9am and 3:30 , according to the order of the previous DM in the view of cold wave conditions.
Most of the schools in Patna will open from Monday or Tuesday after a week’s winter break.
“The decision has been taken considering the prevalible cold weather and low temperatures, especially in the morning in this district, which can have adverse health effects on school children,” DM said.
Children’s health risks because of cold weather, said Patna DM “has been made to show me that because of the prevalent cold weather and low temperatures, especially in the morning, health and lives of risky children.
I, under the section 144 Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, with this prohibits academic activities from all private schools and Patna Regency Government to class VIII until January 8, 2022.
The command will take effect with the effects of January 3, “Read order DM.
Singh has also directed the District Education Officer (DEO), all sub-division officers, blocked the development officers and other officers concerned to ensure ordinary compliance.
