Patna: The contractor driver associated with Patna Municipal Corporation fled with RS22 lakh from his car after parking it under the Puri police station on Sunday night.
The contractor, Abhishek Kumar, filed a complaint against the driver of Sumit Jha.
According to police complaints, Jha fled with a bag containing cash after leaving the car at Anandpuri where Kumar went to meet her friend.
“I have left the bag in the car and asked him to save the tab on it,” he told the police.
When Abhishek, a resident of the Jakkankapur police station, returned after meeting his friend, he found the bag lost from the car.
The driver was not there and and his cellphone was also turned off.
A police officer posted in the police station S Puri said they were in touch with their colleagues in the beginning of the driver.
