Patna: The Patna High Court on Friday expressed serious concern for the lack of medicines needed at the hospital and the shops carried out by the government here which forced patients to turn to private hospitals.
The High Court also expressed concern for encroachment in hospitals and medical colleges in Patna.
A division bench from Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice S Kumar heard a number of pills in the Covid-19 situation when asking civilian surgeons Patna Vibha Kumari to see this problem.
Civil surgeons from all 38 districts were present before the bench together with the Department of Health Additional Secretary (ACS) Pratyaya Amrit during the trial Friday.
The Suo Motu court raised the problem of patients who visited private hospitals due to lack of drugs at the government-managed pharmacy and hospitals.
The court verbally observed that after Patna, it would see a situation in other districts as far as the availability of drugs concerned.
The court has been on Thursday a direct ACS and all civil surgeons to appear before almost and provide correct information about infrastructure available at government hospitals and health centers in the state to combat the possibility of the third wave of covid pandemic.
HC has been disturbed on Thursday after getting a “wrong data” on health infrastructure in the hospital.
Data was submitted through the Affidavit Counter submitted by Amrit.
On Friday, Amrit submitted an unconditional apology to the court to present wrong data about health infrastructure.
He also told the court that the team of four members led by the executive director of the state health community had been formed to verify data.
“New data will be submitted to court in the Tabular format,” he said.
Amrit also convinced the court that all civilian surgeons physically will verify the infrastructure available in their district and then submit a report.
Courts will now take problems to hear on December 24.
