Patna: The Patna High Court has expressed concern that the state-state medical university might get a termination as 2,083 of 3,309 assistant posts and professor associates lying in these institutions.
Chakadhari Chakradhari Judician bench Singh on Tuesday made oral observations while hearing two writing petitions submitted by 11 teaching staff at this college.
The Petitioner was previously appointed by the Ministry of Health as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor at various government medical universities in Bihar in the last 10-12 years.
Those who were appointed as assistants or professor associates were even promoted to ranked professors.
Then, they were chosen through the Bihar Public Service Commission for Assistant Professor Post despite a professor for years.
The applicant, represented by Counsel PK Shahi, YV Giri and Shashi Bhushan Kumar, moved the High Court in December urged the authorities directed to consider their experience and appointed them as a professor to the number of empty poles in the ranking.
The bench on July 12 has been looking for from the state government of the post-approved and empty professor assistant assistant, professor and professor associate.
The government, through additional Affidavit, was submitted that there were 3309 sanctions posts from three ratings in government medical colleges at Bihar and 2083 lying empty.
There were 1788 POSS assistant professors who were approved against those 409 worked as a regular appointment, 306 worked on the contract and the remaining 1073 posts were empty.
Likewise, there are 1039 sanctions for professor associate, where 257 is filled with a regular meeting appointment, 100 through a contract and 682 posts lie empty.
Professor ranked, 91 was appointed regularly, 63 on contracts and 328 posts lay empty against 482 possets subject to sanctions.
The court was also informed that all necessary steps were taken by the Ministry of Health to fill empty posts.
However, the bench was still dissatisfied and directing the main secretary to reply when what steps were taken to fill empty posts in all three ranks and actions taken to overcome the complaints of the applicants, who have worked in a higher position.
The bench also observed that the division bench from this high court had given the command last year that the empty post was filled by a routine appointment and not on the contract.
The court will hear this problem again on August 17.
