Patna: A 12-year-old girl died and her 10-year-old younger sister was seriously injured after a man allegedly threw them from the terrace of a five-story apartment in Shiv Shakti Nagar under the Bahadurpur police station in the surrounding city in the city around it 3.15pm on the day Thursday.
Victims were identified as Sonali Kumari.
Shuu Kumari’s younger sister rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The defendant, Vivek Kumar, a resident of Darbhanga, was arrested by the police.
He has prepared an upsc examination from a rented room in the same building since 2012.
Two little girls are daughter of fruit traders, Nandlal Gupta.
The incident occurred when Gupta went to Bazaar Samiti to receive a fruit leader truck.
Local residents were nervous throwing stones targeting police officers and burning two autorickshaws.
Sho of Bahadurpur Police Station Sanobar Khan and seven police personnel were injured in pelting rocks.
Vivek claimed to be to the police during the interrogation that he had thrown the two girls from the building terrace after being told to do so by one Kumar Nitish.
Reena Kumari, Sub-Inspector at the Bahadurpur Police Station, said, “The motive behind the murder has not been confirmed.
Vivek has tried to mislead the police by issuing a different statement.” He added, “The two girls rushed to Patna Medical College and the hospital after The incident where Sonali.
Shalu’s condition was declared critical.
The locals arrested Vivek after the incident and handed it to the police.
