Patna: Investigation Bureau of Proportional Proportional Investigation Bureau (DA) assets are worth more than Rs 5 Crore and Rs 90 lakh which are stored in the bank account of the District Transportation Officer (DTO) Ajay Kumar Thakur during the attack on Patna Residence on Wednesday.
Thakur was suspended on October 6 during his post at Jehanabad.
He was previously posted on Patna when large financial deviations and falsification had been detected.
Thakur is allegedly allowed the entry of BS-III and BS-IV vehicles for registration using receipt of counterfeit money that causes state losses.
The bureau has submitted FIR on Monday for disproportionate assets worth RS91.22 lakh against Thakur.
But RAID at Thakur’s Flat Number C-303 on Radha Apartment Day in Sardar Patel Path in SK Puri revealed information about two flats on Gola Road on Patna, including a worth of duplex around RS2.5 Crore, two flats in noida (up), two on Ranchi and land purchased at Siliguri in West Bengal In addition to additional documents showing RS90 lakh stored in 11 bank accounts, an RS60 Lakh investment in 22 life insurance policies, gold and silver jewelry worth around RS4.5 Lakh and RS1 Lakh and RS1 Lakh.
“Some of these properties were not known before and their details were revealed after Wednesday’s attack,” said a senior officer and added that in accordance with rough estimates, Thakur’s nature must have a market value from RS10 Crore.
He said all bank accounts have been frozen.
“We also want to know about lockers in the SBI branch in S K Puri, which will open after looking for a court order,” he said.
Bureau also found documents that showed that Putri Thakur had carried out MBBS from private medical institutions in Kishanganj.
“He is currently working as an internship at the hospital in Patna,” he said.
The officer said Thakur’s son was doing an MBA in Dubai.
“Without a large contribution, the two acceptance is not possible.
Thakur has been asked to provide documents related to the payment of the costs of his children,” he said.
