Patna: With the Civil Service Ministry increases the operating limit of domestic flights from 50% to 65%, the number of aircraft operating from Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport here will increase from mid-July.
The low-cost Spicejet carrier announced on Thursday that it would launch three new direct flights from Patna to the letter, Kolkata and Bengaluru.
The airline executive said the first direct flight to a letter from Patna will operate three weeks – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – starting July 16.
Flights (SG-343/344) will depart from Patna at 11:40 a.m.
It will take off from the letter at 12:40-PM and land on Patna at 3:10 a.m.
The airline also increases its operations with additional frequencies on the route of Kolkata and Bengaluru.
Kolkata-Patna-Kolkata flights will reach here at 8:50 a.m.
and depart at 3:40 a.m.
from July 16.
Other flights, SG-947/948, will touch Patna at 19:25 and leave for Bengaluru at 17:00, starting from July 17.
This will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The airline will spread the Boeing 737 and Q400 aircraft on this new route.
Spicejet currently operates eight flights in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Chennai, and the route Amritsar.
Indigo executives at Patna said they operated 19-20 on average flights against flights scheduled for 22 after odds of OD Curbs.
