Patna: The last date for submitting an online application to enter a three-year course in the field of art, science and trade in the University of Patna (PU) has been extended for 10 days.
Now, boys and girls who are looking to enter undergraduate courses, both in regular mode and self-financing, can submit their application on August 31, said PU Student Dean Anil Kumar.
Kumar said the date has been extended by the Vice Chancellor of Girish Kumar Choudhary, following a problem faced by some students who live in areas affected by floods in the state.
Many students face difficulties in moving from their homes and finding cybercafe in their area due to flooding.
He said, for the first time, PU has begun to enter online centrally for all undergraduate academic programs.
A student is asked to fill up only one form, showing the choice of courses and colleges in the order of preferences.
The list of students chosen to enter by marks-cum-choice will be issued immediately after the last date of submission of online forms, he said.
Until now, nearly 30,000 students have been registered to enter and more than 17,000 have made payments too.
There are nearly 3500 seats in Arts, science and trade streaming in five PU colleges, namely, Patna College, Patna Science College, BN College, Vanija Mahavidyalaya and Magadh Mahila College.
