Patna: With the Covid situation gradually subsided in the country after relaxation in locking, people have started planning to visit exotic locations in India and abroad.
Travel operators and tours in the city claim that the most preferred goals in the next tourist season (September-November) include Gujarat, Sikkim, Leh-Ladakh, Kashmir, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar and Goa.
For international travel, Maldives is the most preferred destination, said Amit Pandey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said travel company.
The travel industry and tourism have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic since the last two years.
However, after almost one and a half years, this industry hopes the good business this year.
They vigorously waited for September to pass positive without the third wave trace.
“People are happy and finish their bookings for trips outside Bihar or even abroad,” said Ranveer Jaiswal, the owner of a tour agent and travel at Patliputra Colony.
“At present, we get 40-50% of orders made in the Pre-Covid era,” said Saurabh Khemka, the owner of a travel agency at Fraser Road.
“The response is quite positive because people like to come out.
Those who returned from the trip give positive feedback because they felt rejuvenated after months locked,” said Rakesh Kumar, owner of another travel agency in Mithapur.
Travel agencies in the city said they ensured that travelers were vaccinated against Covid before traveling and carrying RT-PCR reports or vaccination certificates.
Agency also provides a list of protocols to be followed to ensure a safe and healthy trip.
“From Bihar, people tend to go on vacation around 2-3 weeks,” said SK Singh, director of the implementing tour agent and travel near Gandhi Maidan.
