New Delhi: The train has told the rates for new air-conditioned economy classes, which will be at least 8% lower than existing 3-tier air conditioning tickets.
This coach will have 83 beds.
The new 3AC economy coach was introduced to be attached to all service, express and supercatic services, said the train official.
So far, 50 such coaches have been submitted to different zone trains.
In a statement, the ministry said the basic rates of the 3AC economic coach will be 2.4 times the cost of the base of the existing bedroom and the express train.
The base show for a new class coach starts from the lack of Rs 440 per seat for a distance of up to 300 km.
Based on travel distance, this basic tariff rose to a maximum of RS 3,065 for traveling 4,951-5,000 km.
Other costs such as reservation fees, supercatic additional costs, GST will be collected separately.
