Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Monday said the notification issued by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) was not a warrant for death but a love letter for political workers.
The Raut statement came a day after Sena leader and Maharashtra Minister Anil Paratab was asked to appear before the anti-money laundering body.
Raut said Puriab was targeted by BJP leaders.
“He will respond to notice and work with Ed,” he added.
“The frequency of such love letters increased after an effort failed to violate the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) wall which was strong and could not be penetrated,” he told reporters.
The Ed called by Parab to be interrogated on Tuesday in the money laundering case registered against the former Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh and the others, officials said on Sundays.
“Both a BJP man is a desk clerk in Ed or ED officer working at the BJP office,” said Rau.
Shiv Sena, former BJP allies, shared strength with NCP and Congress in Maharashtra.
He also crashed into BJP because it arranged protests to reopen the temples in Maharashtra which remained closed due to restrictions on Covid-19.
“The Maharashtra government follows the center directives who have asked the country to be careful in front of the upcoming festival and fear of the spread of Koronavirus infection.
We believe the central government is also ‘Hindutvawadi’ (pro-Hindu), he said.
