Chandigarh / Jalandhar: In an effort to keep the herds together, AAM AADMI Party (AAP) on Friday announced the first list of 10 candidates for 2022 assembly elections in Punjab, renominating 10 of the sitting MLAS.
However, continued tension whether the Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann will take part in the assembly selection.
This announcement came only two days after Bathinda (rustic) Mla Rupinder Kaur Ruby joined the Congress after a short late night tweet.
The party was shaken by Raikot Mla Jagtar Singh Jagga Hissowal praised and embraced Charanjit Minister Singh Channi during the assembly session on Thursday, giving an indication of turning to the ruling party.
Of the 20 mlalas were selected in 2017, only 11 are now in the party even technically Aap Mlaas.
Only one sitting MLA, Amarjit Singh Sandoa from Ropar has been abandoned from the list.
Sandoa initially stopped AAP to join Congress but returned to AAP last year.
The party in the party said AAP’s leadership did not intend to give party nomination to the remaining MLAS.
There is speculation that some AAP mlaas can see the exit.
Senior Advocate H S Phoolka, previously a MLA from Dakha and AAP the first leader of the opposition, resigned from the assembly state in August 2019 and in the next sidelines of October in October, Shiromani Akali Dal won the chair.
Then, Sukhpal Singh Khaira parted ways with AAP and together with Pirmal Singh Khalsa and Jagdev Singh Kamaluddin joined the June Congress.
Khaira’s resignation from the assembly was received by the speaker in October, only a month before.
Kharar Mla Kanwar Sandhu had previously spoken openly about the working party style, especially very strict control of the leadership of the party.
He had calmed down after Lok Sabha’s poll in 2019 and remained far from the party and he did not even join this Khaira, a short-lived punjab party.
Teacher Baldev Singh, who also joined Khaira, recently disqualified by speakers.
Mansa Mla Najar Singh Manshahia has joined the Congress.
When asked why he was abandoned from the first AAP list, Ropar Mla Amarjeet Singh Sandoa said, “This is the first list.
Let’s look at the next list.
” Commenting on the first list, Bhagwant Mann said the party MLAs had efficiently raised their constituent issues as part of the main opposition party at Vidhan Sabha.
Asked whether he would take part in the upcoming assembly election, Mann said the decision would be taken by the leadership of AAP.
Mann has been contested from Jalalpur against President Sad Sukhbir Singh Badal in 2017.
“I have obeyed the party’s decision in the past election.
I will follow the decision now, “he said.
The opposition leader (LOP) Harpal Singh Cheema, the name itself in the first list, said the party had been given the opportunity to Ruby, who was a student at that time, to represent his area.
“I can’t talk to Hissowal and don’t know about his future plans.
Those who have turned to Congress have betrayed their two parties (AAP) and also voters from their constituents, “he said.
“We have said that we will take part in assembly elections by announcing the face of the ministerial head.
No other party has launched a cm face so far and we will also do it at the right time, “Cheema said, adding that the process of appointment ‘Halaka’ at the time has been temporarily and the announcement of the first list of candidates is aligned with it.
Taking insults in AAP’s leadership, Punjab Minister Raj Kumar Verka said that it was a panic reaction from AAP because most of the MLAS wanted to cross to Congress.
“They have realized that the Congress government led by Charanjit Singh Channi is the Real’As Aadmi,” he said.
5 mlash won on aap ticket, now in Congress: In July 2018, eight of the 20 mlashies in the state have come out of the decision to remove Sukhpal Singh Khaira as LOP and demand that it was reviewed.
Five of this then turned to Congress: Nazar Singh Manshahia, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Pirmal Singh, Jagdev Singh Kamaluddin, and Rupinder Kaur Ruby.
The other two, Baldev Singh and Amarjit Sandoa, have entered and left the party
