Chandigarh: When the Punjab Police Department prepares for the next stage of Mega Recruitment Drive, Minister of Man Amarinder Singh on Saturday directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to intensify the crackdown on paper leaks, cheating and copying, after six people reportedly arrested Alleged involvement of their cheating during the written test held for the sub-supervisor on August 22.
The direction preceded the written exam for the Head Head (Investigation Cadre), to be carried out from 12-19 September for 75,544 applicants who had submitted 787 jobs, followed by exams for Constables (District and Armed Cadres), scheduled for September 25-26, with 4 , 70,775 candidates who have submitted a request to fill in 4,358 jobs.
After this, in his first step by any state police in this country, another recruitment drive will take place in October to appoint 2,600 specialists in uniform in the POLDA.
Punjab Police Mega Recruitment Drive is being carried out through six recruitment boards, each one was taken under ADGP officials.
So far, written tests for Poss Sub-Inspector (District, Armed, Intelligence & Investigations of cadres) and concents of intelligence and cadres investigations have been carried out successfully, while written tests for police chief cadres investigations will begin in the future and will conclude at 19 September 2021.
Among 1,10,524 candidates who have submitted 560 sub-inspector vacancies, around 7,589 candidates are graduates of information technology, computer science and software engineering and 1,714 candidates are post-graduates.
Overall, 80,826 men’s candidates and 29,698 women candidates have registered.
