Chandigarh: The Punjab High Court and Haryana on Tuesday direct the HC (Judicial) Registrar to produce status reports in the case of transportation of Punjab drugs to be examined.
The court will see the reports in his room before passing any order on November 18.
During hearing the case before the division bench consisting of Justice Augustine George and Justice Ak Verma, Advocate General Punjab, APS Deol moved the application to check the status of the report regarding the Nexus police officer and drug smugglers in Punjab.
AG also looks for instructions to forward orders to enable the investigation body to continue in these cases.
After hearing this case for about an hour, the bench explained that it would first check the report in the room.
HC has taken awareness of Suo Motu from publishing drugs related to the threat of drugs in Punjab and has reached before HC through the petition submitted by residents of Mohali Tarlochan Singh.
When Tarlochan Singh was locked up in Ropar prison in connection with several violations, he had submitted a petition before the High Court in 2013 highlighted the sale of liquor in Ropar prison with prison officials with prison officials.
The former DGP (prison) of Punjab, Shashikans has also written a letter to the High Court accusing the Nexus of politicians with Mr.
Narcotics in Punjab.
Considering that serious problems in large public interests, the High Court has taken Suo Motu’s awareness about this issue and looks for explanations from the Punjab government.
