Pb sent a panel of 10 IPS officers to UPSC for POST DGP

Chandigarh: In the midst of the controversy over the appointment of IPS IPS1988 Iqbal Preeting Singh Sahota officers as a DGP officer, the Punjab government on Thursday sent a panel of 10 IPS officers who qualified to the New Police Commission (UPSC) for the election of the new police chief.
In accordance with the Supreme Court verdict on July 3, 2018, the Punjab government has sent the name of 10 officers who qualified in the panel of Batch 1986 to 1991-batch.
The upsc will now hold a meeting and send a list of three officers suitable for Pads to Punjab.
Officers from 5 IPS batches in Round Listin, the state government will appoint one of them as the Head of the State Police.
IPS officers in the panel including Siddharth Chattopadhyaya (1986 Batch), Dinkar Gupta (1987), MK Tiwari (1987), VK Bhawra (1987), Prabodh Kumar (1988), Rohit Choudhary (1988), Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota (1988) ), Sanjeev Kalra (1989), Parag Jain (1989), and Barjinder Kumar Uppal (1991 batch).
After the new Council of Ministers took over under the chairman of Minister Charanjit Singh Channi earlier this month, the Punjab police chief whose petellings of the Gupta Dinkar were sent in one month of leave and the cost of the realization of the State Police Chief was handed over to Sahota.
