Chandigarh: The recently featured three-member specific investigation team (SIT) of Punjab Police led by ADGP-cum-director vigilance agency L K Yadav on Monday contested former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini here for 4 hours at the Kotkapura police shooting the event of October 2015.
Resources stated Saini was contested 3pm to 7pm.
Others that were contested included specific DGP ranking officials Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota and Rohit Chaudhary.
It’s learnt that SIT will query different police officers, such as suspended IG Paramraj Singh Umranangal, on June 7 at the situation.
Despite the Punjab and Haryana high court, the state authorities had on May 7 comprised the three-member SIT, consisting of Ludhiana commissioner of authorities Rakesh Agarwal and also DIG Faridkot scope Surjeet Singh to stunt two FIRs (outdated October 14, 2015, along with Aug 7, 2018) in relation with the Kotkapura police shooting episodes.
Back in Aprilthe high court had quashed the stunt ran to the situation from the previous SIT containing subsequently IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh and purchased that the constitution of fresh SIT.
