Karachi: The authorities of Pakistani cricket on Friday confirmed that the British Cricket team will play two international twenty20 in October on their first tour since 2005.
“England’s English side will visit Pakistan in October for two international matches.
The two matches will be played at the stadium Pindi Cricket in Rawalpindi on October 13 and 14, “said the release of the Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB).
The New Zealand Cricket team will also visit Pakistan in September first after the 18-year-old gap, one of the many tours that will recover Pakistani images as a safe host for international matches.
West Indies and Australia will also play in Pakistan in the next seven months.
Pakistan became the no-go area for the international team after the 2009 deadly attack on the Sri Lanka team in Lahore.
But the rapid increase in security in recent years has gradually seen the return of international cricket, with Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, the Indian and South African tour in the last six years.
The English last tour of Pakistan in 2005.
In 2012 and 2015 Pakistan must hold UK in the United Arab Emirates.
“The British team and British women will arrive at Islamabad on October 9 and the two teams will play Twenty20 Internationals on October 14 and 15,” PCB said.
British women will also play three international one day on October 17, 19 and 21 at the Pindi Stadium.
