New Delhi: The country’s historical paralympians on Thursday with their national parent body, the Indian Paralympics Committee, who hoped to produce more players in the coming years and win at least 25 medals, including 10 gold, in the next edition of 2024 .
The athletes of the athletes returned from Tokyo Paralympics after an unprecedented medal from five gold, eight silver and six bronze.

“This time we competed in just nine sports and won medals in five sports.
Our goal is to take part in 15 sports in Paris from 22 sports in Paralympics.
So we have to diversify the number of sports,” he added.
Two shooters – Avani Lekhara and Manish Narwal – won the gold medal while airplane Pramod Bhagat and Krishna Nagar also won the yellow metal.
The fifth gold was won by Javelin Sumit Antil.
Javelin Thrower Devendra Jhjhariah and High Jumper Mariyappan ThangaveLu – Both of them 2016 gold winners Rio Paralympics – win the silver medal this time.
Lekhara (Gold and Bronze) and other shooters Singhraj Adana (silver and bronze) are those who completed the podium twice.
Archer Harvinder Singh and Tennis Tennis Tennis Bhavinaben Patel won the historic first medal in each sport with silver and bronze.
PCI Secretary General said that the government has also convinced them to increase funds for preparation of 2024 paralympics.
“We have been told by the ministry to submit a revised annual calendar for training and competition (ACTC) and have assured us that there should be no problem to allocate more funds,” Singh said.
“We have to hire a foreign coach and buy upscale equipment for our athletes.
We will also focus on more Athletics paragraph events where we can win medals such as wheelchair race and more track events.” Meanwhile, PCI President Deepa Malik underlines the importance of accessibility for athletes to ensure their performance is better.
“Accessibility is one of the most important features of the game.
If we can make our reasons and stadiums accessible for our athletes, we will definitely get a champion player,” he said.
All Tokyo Indian Paralympians, including those who use wheelchairs, provided vehicles that can be specifically accessed by Svayam before they depart and in their homes back.
Special vehicles that can be accessed for all their transportation needs are provided by Svayam to ensure a dignified and comfortable transit experience.
Founder of Svayam, Jindal Sminu said: “It is possible for every individual to find the best version of themselves if given the right opportunity.” We can do it by making infrastructure and facilities we can be accessed by everyone.
Indian victory in Paralympics is a clear example of that.
