New Delhi: Press Council Chair of the Indian Chadramouli Kumar Prasad course on Wednesday searched for comments from the Primary Secretary and Director General of Tripura Police in the arrest of two female journalists, Jha Swarna and Samridhi Sakunia, for the reports of their communal clashes in the state.
A PCI statement said Judge Prasad had declared serious concern for the arrest and demanded information from the two top officials in the state.
He also took Suo Motu’s awareness of the death of journalist based in Madhubani Avinash Jha “with a suspicious state” in Bihar and looking for a report on this issue from the Secretary and DGP Bihar head.
