SRINAGAR: The Democratic Party of the people led by President Mehbooba Mufti lead the march to Lal Chowk demanding the restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former Chief Minister and Head of PDP Mehbooba Mufti together with party workers began a protest rally from the party headquarters in Srinagar and demanded the revocation of the decision.
“This is a black day for us when our identity was taken away from us.

Today is a day of mourning for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
We all mourn this day because The era of oppression and brutality began by the BJP LED government on August 5, 2019, “Mehbooba said.
Previously, in a tweet, he said, “There are no enough words or images to describe the pain, torment and upheaval caused by Jammu and Kashmir on this black day two years ago.
When an uncontrolled oppression is released and gross injustice piling up no other choice other than refusing there.
“Meanwhile, a spokesman for the People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) expressed concern for the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and decided to continue the struggle for the recovery of the” legitimate rights “of his people.
The Alliance held a constituent meeting at the National Residence of the Farooq Conference Abdullah.

Most of the Lal Chowk shop owner alleged that the police broke the key and opened closed shops on Thursday morning on the commemoration of the two special status talks and Kashmir.
Police, according to the shopkeepers, opened the market in Lal Chowk to prevent shutdown by shop owners in the second year of revocation of article 370.
Significantly, police earlier this week was called traders and shop owners from several parts of Srinagar including Lal Market Chowk and asked them to Maintaining their business companies remain open and not observing closure in August 5.
However, there is no closure in Lal Chowk and the adjacent areas on Thursday.
Meanwhile all parties’ Hurriyat Conference (AHC) led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq reaffirmed hatred and strong opposition to this unilateral and arbitrary action.
APHC said that the Indian government must accept the need to overcome Kashmir’s disputes, involved with those who truly represent the political will and aspirations of their people, and spread geopolitical pressure buildings in the region along the northern and western boundaries.
APHC urged the Indian government to continue involvement with the Pakistani government, he said.
