Pediatric Gurgaon Up 17% Bed Capacity

Gurgaon: District on Monday increases its pediatric capacity by up to 17% to prepare Covid-19 third wave potential.
A total of 97 of the 105 hospitals that treated Covid patients had pediatric facilities.
Previously, these centers had 809 beds for pediatric patients, including 287 ICU and 89 beds with ventilators.
Now, the number of children’s bed has risen to 949, including 391 ICU and 174 beds with ventilators.
The health department on July 2 directed all hospitals to increase their bed and oxygen capacity on July 10.
“Apart from the pediatric bed 949, 500 other beds can be arranged in an emergency.
We have observed that in the last two surges, nearly 12% of patients were under the age of 20.
About 5% of them needed hospitalization.
That, we have increased the current pediatric bed capacity in the event of another surge.

There are currently 229 neonatal beds, including ICU beds 191 and 67 with the ventilator.
The health department said 25 hospitals had updated their oxygen crops and installed new PSA units.
During the second wave, the district witnessed the lack of oxygen in the hospital, which has caused the death of covid patients.
To avoid such victims in the case of another surge, the hospital is directed at increasing their infrastructure.
The department added that he was in inspection of all special Covid care centers and a dedicated Covid Hospital.
It also takes the Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) drug in the hospital.
Children who don’t have enough antibodies are given IVIG to help increase their immunity.
Four new cases, no deaths of the third day on Trot City watched four fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday.
