Pediatricians come with a task force to take care of children with covid

Coimbatore: Pediatricians cross-country under the Pediatric Indian academy umbrella has produced a protocol to treat children who develop moderate or severe Covid-19 symptoms on the third wave.

Rajendran.
“They must check saturation and if they fall below 90, the child is slow and always sleeps, and starts to have a change of bluish in addition to fever – they have to be rushed to the hospital because this is a danger sign,” he added.
Chapter Nadu Pediatric Academy India has formed a Covid Task Force.
“We plan to coordinate with the state government to create Covid-19 cells in each district to help parents and children with telecast and need help such as finding their beds, oxygen, and doctors,” he said.
“We also work to create it.
Training modules for medical and paramedics on handling pediatric patients,” he added.
The doctor said this district only had 103 ICU beds for children throughout the hospital.
