New Delhi: High drama opened in Rajya Sabha on Thursday afternoon when the Trinamool MP Congress MP Shantanu Sen grabbed the paper from the IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw just as the minister stood up to make a statement in Pegasus Snooping Row, setting the exchange of words heated with BJP benches.
Sen tore the paper and threw them at the Deputy Chair of Harvansh.
Vaishnaw could not finish his statement and the house must be postponed for that day.
Immediately after, there was an animation exchange between Ministers Union Hardeep Puri and TMC MP and Marshals had to intervene to bring the situation under control.
Just before this high drama, as soon as Vaishnaw rose to talk about the issue of alleged telephone tapping, opposition parliamentarians rushed to the home well and raised “Jasoosi Band Karo (stopped spying)” slogan against the government.
The Minister expelled the charges and reports, said, “When we see this problem through the Prisma Logic, it clearly arises that there is no substance behind this sensationalism.” Harvansh urged parliamentary protests to quit Unparlia’s behavior and return to their respective seats and let the minister complete his statement.
