New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday publishes notifications to the center on the batch of requests looking for an independent probe into the pegasus material lurking, explaining that it does not want the government to reveal anything that can compromise with national security.
The bench led by the Chairman of Judge N V Ramana is looking for a central response to the request and says it will take a problem after 10 days and see what courses must be adopted.
The bench also consisted of Judge Surya Kant and Aniruddha Bose, told General Tushar Mehta lawyer that the peak court did not want the government to reveal anything that could compromise with national security.
The top yesterday said this after Mehta believes that leaking information about written statements, such as those sought by the applicant, will involve national security aspects.
The court heard a collection of requests, including those submitted by the Editor Guild of India, looking for independent probes into this issue.
They are related to reports of alleged reconnaissance by government institutions in citizens, politicians and clerks using the Israeli Firm NSO Spyware Pegasus.
