Chandigarh: The leader of the Haryana Congress, including MLA, held a protest here on Thursday in connection with Pegasus Snooping Row, but was stopped by the police when they tried to march towards Raj Bhavan on foot.
Led by AICC responsible for Haryana Vivek Bansal and the Head of the State Congress Kumari Selja, leaders and workers gathered in the party’s office here.
They protested outside the party office, but when they tried to march towards Raj Bhavan on foot, the police detained them.
Congress leaders told reporters that the police quote the barrier command in place because Covid-19 and said they could not let them take a parade.
“We held peaceful protests, but the police did not allow us to continue further,” said Selp.
The leaders of the opposition party said they wanted to hand over a memorandum to the governor in connection with a row of scouts.
