Sao Paulo: Brazilian football legend is ready to leave the Intensive Care Unit of the Sao Paulo Hospital after undergoing surgery for the alleged large intestinal tumor, one of his daughters said on Monday.
Kelly Nascimento wrote a message that gave updates to his father’s health in Portuguese and in English on his Instagram account, accompanied by a close-up photo of a 80-year-old football star smiling.
“He did a good operation, he was not in pain and was in a good mood (upset that he could only eat Jello but would last!),” Nascimento wrote.
“He will move to an ordinary room in or the next two days and then go home.” His father was “strong and stubborn and with the support and care of a brilliant team in (Albert) Einstein (hospital) and all the love, energy, and light sent by this world, he will pass this!” He wrote.
