Kolkata: a group of nurses from a private hospital traveled to the old house and feeding them who lived there on Tuesday.
It was the initiative taken by Belle Vue Clinic after the regulatory commission of the West Bengal clinical formation directed the hospital to organize lunch for residents of small sisters.
The verdict came after a patient who was hospitalized for Covid in May this year filed a complaint with a commission against the nurse.
The complainant, Kasturi Ghosh, clearly told the commission that he did not want compensation but the hospital had to feed the old house.
Therefore, Chairman of the Ashim Commission Kumar Banerjee on Wednesday asked the hospital to treat the population of Suster-Sisters of the Poor on Campus 2 AJC Bose Road.
The hospital representative visited the house on Friday to repair the menu for launch Tuesday.
Therefore, 170 residents of houses, over sixty, were treated with basmati Padi also, boneless chicken, fish curry, paneer preparation, dal, vegetables and fruits prepared by catering.
“The nurse spends more hours with patients than a doctor.
What I want is a little empathy and cares from them,” Ghosh said, who was present in an old house.
Ghosh was treated for Covid for 21 days at the hospital between May and June this year.
On Tuesday, the hospital took all the nurses posted on the floor where Ghosh got treatment along with other senior nurses, including super.
Nurses even apologized to Ghosh.
All nurses say that they are under great pressure during peak pandemic.
“It was during the covid peak.
Some nurses might get tired and accidentally behave badly with patients.
It’s not desirable.
And everyone apologizes.
This is contrary to what we have taught and trained.
We also apologized to him (Ghosh).
And He is a very good person and takes trouble for all today, “said a nurse.
“Patients are people who behave well and come from a good background.
This is an eye opener for our nurses who promise never behave badly with patients,” said Belle Vue CEO Pradip Tondaon, who himself present at home.
From the commission, Doctor Maityyre Banerjee and Madhavi Das made home on Tuesday.
