‘People & Govt staff to take an oath on 26 Novain against liquor’

Patna: Government employees and States people will take an appointment on November 26 against the consumption of liquor, Minister Nith Kumar said on Monday.
Speaking with the media after visiting the Government of Ayurvedic College & Hospital and the Tibbi College & Hospital government in Patna, Nitish said, “All government employees and States people will take an appointment on November 26 on the occasion of the ‘ban’ day they will not consume liquor Or let sales in the state.
“He added that the prohibition policy was strictly enforced in the state and officials had been directed not to regret anyone, including government employees, if found to violate the ban on liquor.
“All law enforcement agencies have been instructed to ensure the implementation of the proper balance of liquor throughout the state.
Strict action will be taken against violators, including government officials,” Nitish said.
RJD’s opposition has criticized the state government, allapsing that the police harassed people by robbing a wedding and bridal room without a female police on behalf of the ban.
Justifying the raid on marriage, Nitish said the police acted based on the complaints received.
“The police received a complaint that liquor was served on several marriages.
When the police received such input, they took action.
Those who were not involved did not need to worry at all,” CM said.
Police Patna has invaded more than 60 hotels and wedding rooms for the past few days and arrested several people with charges of consuming and providing liquor.
Hitting the Nitish government over the raids, RJD leaders and former Main Minister Rabri Devi said the state police harassed people with the pretext of prohibitions.
He tweeted videos intended from one such attack, where the police can be seen entering the bridal room without the presence of a female police personnel.
The video triggered a counter-attack with opposition parties slamming the police to “insult and harass” innocent people.
Meanwhile, Nitish said the government had decided to expand services and facilities in all Ayurvedic and Tibbi colleges throughout the state in the coming years.
“We have prepared a plan for it, but will be announced at Rashtriya Ayurveda Parv who will come in Rajgir in the Nalanda District,” he said.
