Ahmedabad: On Saturday, Gujarat with 2.23 lakh the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine took a total tally from the category of 18-44 years to 39% of the total vaccinated in the state.
With this number, young people are the largest category of vaccine recipients in the state.
Those in the age group 45-60 years contributed 34% and they were in the 60-plus category in 27% of a total of 2.68 crore vaccinations so far.
Gujarat was third behind Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh in the total vaccine given.
But the percentage is much higher in four big cities Gujarat because Rajkot has 18-44 years of accounting for 54% vaccine, 52% in Ahmedabad and letters, and 51% in Vadodara.
