New Delhi: Even when the Delhi police team met with a farmer delegation near the Singhu border, riot exercise was conducted in the city, including the red fort, in front of the planned farmer protest near the parliament during the Monsun session to demand three new agricultural laws.

This is the second time that the farmers protest the planned protest like that in the heart of Delhi.
Previously on January 26, farmers had made a tractor rally which ended with clashes with police personnel when several agitators deviated from the agreed route and went to the red fortress, where they unfurled the religious flag on a historic monument.
The incident resulted in injury to more than 500 police officers.
Regarding the training, the police said that they were being carried out after the protest of farmers and the celebration of the upcoming independence day.

The farmer leaders told reporters after the meeting that the police had offered them alternative sites for demonstrations and asked trade unions to reduce the number of protesters, but they have declined.

Ani’s news agency quoted a statement from Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) which stated that the Ninemember Coordination Committee from SKM met with the commissioner with Delhi police on Sunday.
“Police Delhi believes that the farm movement does not have a planned siege for parliament or forcibly entering it.
Meanwhile, preparations for parliamentary protests in full swing in the SKM contingent.
Around 200-350 farmers from various countries will protest on every working day of parliament,” SKM said as quoted.
