Surat: After 20 days of illness, a 35-year-old guy with 100% lung involvement, has conquered the mortal Covid-19.
Irshad Shaikh, among those rare patients to recuperate despite such high disease, returned home earlier this week.
Shaikhan oil dealer from Bharuch, had lost his mommy Ruksana, 55, to the mortal disease when he had been crucial at the hospital.
After he analyzed Covid-19 optimistic on May 3, Shaikh took therapy at a local hospital at Bharuch.
His mother and dad Imtiyaz had tested positive however his dad recovered with home made therapy.
“We’re devastated when we arrived to understand that all of my family are contaminated.
My mom and brother had been crucial and through therapy my mom died,” said Shaikh’s younger brother Ishraj.
“His condition wasn’t improving and he had been changed .
Throughout CT-scan, we discovered that the disease is acute,” explained Dr Bhavik Desai, doctor at Surat’s Lokhat hospital.
Shaikh’s oxygen level was 60 at a stage but his condition was stable and didn’t needed ventilator support.
“We kept him bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) for 10 times and afterwards on regular oxygen for a single week.
His healing is uncommon as not many patients using 100% lung involvement regain,” said Desai.
“He had been granted plasma treatment, remdesivir injections, steroids and other therapy also,” he explained.
“We’re taking great care of him praying for his good health,” explained Ishraj, thanking God’s grace because of his brother’s recovery.
