Mumbai: Special PMLA Court here on Tuesday astu the two assistants of the former Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh in terms of justice until July 20 in the case of money laundering against politicians, related to the allegations of bribery of Rs 100 Crore.
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has arrested Dishmuk Sanjeev Palande’s personal secretary and Kundan Shinde’s personal assistant on June 26.
They have been ordered with the provisions of the prevention of money laundering Law (PMLA).
The duo was produced before the Special Judge of SM Bhosle at the end of their edges on Tuesday.
The court sent them in court detention, as sought by a probe agent.
Previously, Ed told the court that the two defendants played a “very important” role in violations.
Previously, former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Singh in a letter to the main minister Uddhav Thackeray had alleged that Dishmukh, when he was a minister at home, had directed the police who was dismissed Sachin sued more than Rs 100 Crore per month from the bar and restaurant in Mumbai.
The ED case against Deshmukh and the other was made after the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) conducted a preliminary investigation into the allegations made by Singh at the orders of the Bombay High Court.
The CBI has ordered Deshmukh and others under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) section related to the criminal conspiracy and prevention of corruption laws for “efforts to benefit inappropriate and dishonest public performance”.
Deshmukh, who resigned as Minister of State House in April this year after the accusation, has denied the mistake.
