Personal Hospital in Bengaluru Accused of Inflating Bill

Bengaluru: A 63-year-old man has filed a criminal complaint against the management of a private hospital in Seshadripuram, accusing the cost of the care given to his son, who died of Covid-19.
Narayanaswamy Powa’s complainant, a resident of Kothanur employee and retired private company, said in his complaint that the hospital accused Hospital 15.3 lakh to treat his son, Yeshwanth Powa, for almost a month.
According to Powa, his son Yeshwanth was treated on May 8 this year after he tested positive Covid-19 and then dismissed at 6.
However, Yeshwanth died on June 17.
“When removing my child, the hospital raised the bill for Rs 15.39.999 and I paid it,” read POWA complaints.
“The bill is high compared to the price set by the government to treat Covid-19 patients in the hospital.
According to the calculation of the level of the government, the bill should be rs of 4,35,000.
However, the management of the hospital was excessive by raising the bill to Rs 15.39.999.
Please The initiated legal action against the relevant hospital authority.
“Based on POWA’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the defendant based on the National Disaster Management Act (NDMA) 2005 and Pasis 420 of Indian criminal animals (cheating and not stunning property shipping).
“The police collected the required bill documents and were investigating this case,” said the source.
