New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday direct the closure of all private offices, unless they are in the excluded category, amid increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
The private office, which until now operates with 50 percent of the workforce, has been asked to follow the practice of work from home.
A command issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is also directed at the closure of restaurants and bars in the city.
However, restaurants are allowed to serve home delivery and receive orders.
Fresh restrictions will begin to apply with direct effects and continue until the order further.
The Covid-19 situation in Delhi was reviewed at the DDMA meeting on Monday under the leadership of the Governor LT where the Chair of the Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present.
“It has been observed that the number of Covid-19 cases (including cases of omicron variants) has increased rapidly over the past few days and the level of participants has crossed 23 percent,” said the command.
“Therefore, it is necessary that some additional restrictions are needed to be charged in Delhi to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus, including the omicron variant which is very contagious and contagious,” said the order.
“All private offices must be closed, except those under the excluded category.
The practice of work from home must be followed.
All restaurants and bars will be closed.
However, the restaurant will be permitted only for home / takeaway food delivery,” he said.
Excluded private office categories including banks, companies provide important services, insurance and pellaim, pharmaceutical companies, advocate offices, courier services, non-banking finance companies, security services, media, gas stations and oil and gas outlets, among others, will be permitted to function with 100 percent staff.
DDMA has imposed a yellow warning in Delhi on December 28 after the covid front level remained above five percent for two consecutive days.
Under the limitation of yellow warnings, private offices are permitted to function with 50 percent of staff attendance from 9am to 5pm.
The government office in the city currently works with 50 percent attendance.
