New Delhi: Immediately interested parties can take a rental coach or even buy it from the Indian train to run it as a train, religion or a theme-based circuit.
The train Ministry has established a committee to frame policies to promote train-based tourism.
The source said more than 90% of stakeholders recently participated in a meeting called Indian train wanted to operate trains such as ‘Gurdwara circuits’ for Sikh worshipers.
The Gurdwara circuit might include the Harminder Sahib in Amritsar, Gurdwara Damdama Sahib in Delhi, Gurdwara Huzur Sahib in Nanded and Gurdwara Patna Sahib on Patna.
By 2020, PM Modi suggested Railways run a special train between Amritsar and Patna Sahib, two prominent Sikh pilgrimators in this country.
The train ministry said coach rental, both complete and naked shells, will be at least five years, can be extended to the maximum life of the coach.
It says the train will pick up uulage, stabling nominal and rental fees.
