Chennai: Public Service Commission Union (UPSC) has chosen three names for the Director General of Police Tamil Nadu (DGP) and forward the list to the state government for appointment.
These names are: C Sylendra Babu, Karan Singha (both batch 1987) and Sanjay Arora (batch 1988).
By choosing only three names from outside the list of candidates who fulfilled the requirements for Tamil Nadu are continued, the UPSC has diligently stick to the command of the Supreme Court in the case of Prakash Singh.
Now, this is for the Tamil Nadu government to choose his candidate from these three names.
When DGP J Tripathy is accounted for retirement on June 30, the government is expected to mention the name of his successor anytime now.
The choice of the new DMK government for the head of the police post is the subject of the discussion that was heated among police personnel and other bureaucrats, because all three were no unreasonable officers known as the unique functioning method.
