Pesticide poisoning allegedly even died, toll at 8

Vadodara: With every day passed, the tragedy after a party in the Bhulvan tribal village in Devgadh Baria Taluka from Dahod District seems to be bigger.
With the death of others on Wednesday, the toll road rose to eight so far.
With the first four deaths that occurred in quick succession on the first day, giving doctors without taking care of the patient, the incident had raised eyebrows from the start.
The remaining death occurs for the next two days.
Thirteen people were rushed to hospital after they had food at the ‘Garar’ ceremony.
The doctor who treats the patient has told the police that it is possible that death can be from poisoning organofosphorus pesticides (OP poisoning).
Dahod Police Inspector, Hitesh Joysar said that samples of meat, cooked food, some powder, three liquid bottles and other items had been collected from ritual sites.
Joysar said that the main opinions of doctors were the possibility of ophered op, but this must be confirmed by a forensic test.
He said that the police had extended village surveying to ensure that no one else was sick.
“There are no more cases in the village,” said Joysar, adding that the ritual was being carried out for village well-being.
The source said that four or five goats were sacrificed on the last day of the ritual and those who had participated in the meat had fallen ill.
The conditions of some of the five hospitalized patients were said to be serious.
Doctors have suggested that all living patients must remain in care for at least one week to help their documents.
The narrow escape for many around 50 people has gathered for the ‘Warar’ ceremony in the village of Bhulvan in Devgadhbaria Taluka from Dahod District, but only 13 were sick after consuming food.
The questions carried out by the government and the district government have revealed that eight deceased and five received in hospitals have consumed food including meat and other items on the ritual site.
Other villagers have brought meat home to cook and eat with their families.
Those who are present on the ritual and sick sites then include ‘badva’ that performs rituals and maids.
