Gurgaon: A city-based people’s team has moved the Punjab and Haryana high court from the section of city and country planning (DTCP) for producing changes in its coverage to permit the building of fourth floor as well as their enrollment as separate dwelling units. Formerly only prefinished flooring were allowed onto a home plot, but today one can assemble stilt and four floors having low setback area. The coverage was altered without enhancement of their civic infrastructure. Along with the request from the Gurgaon Citizen’s Council asserts it’ll raise the density of people in a place in addition to put strain on the civic heritage of town. “The modifications to this Haryana Building Code have been performed in a hurry without due diligence and it is going to adversely impact the general environment of town. These modifications were completed in a really brief period of time,” explained Shehbaz Thind, counsel for the petitioner. A division bench of justices Rajan Gupta and Karamjit Singh may hear the case on July 23. “The changes in the building code have been created according to legislation and after getting representation from individuals. The modifications will allow fulfilling the rising housing demand in town,” stated a senior DTCP official.
