Lucknow: Lucknow bench from the High Court of Allahabad has provided a guarantee to the former Managing Director of UPPCL Ayodhya Prasad Mishra, remembering his age and deteriorating health conditions.
Mishra, 70, is in prison in connection with the fraud of multi-crore service providers.
Before allowing Plea Bail Mishra, the bench also recorded the fact that Mishra had been in prison for two years but the CBI could not track the trace of money involved in this case.
Judge Judge Dinesh Kumar Singh passed this sequence in the application of the Second Guarantee Mishra.
HC has rejected his first petition in April 2020.
The Supreme Court has also rejected a guarantee request but has allowed him to submit a new application before HC, begged his old age and poor health.
The court said that the role of Mishra in crime was that it gave permission to invest PF money in PNB housing, LIC housing and DHLF housing.
Co-discused Abhinav Gupta, said to be the kingpin of this case, guarantees by the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, CBI’s lawyer Anurag Singh told the court that the Investigation Agency was likely to complete an investigation in the case in September.
