Hyderabad: Three Pharmacy Barons from Hyderabad has managed to reach the top 100 from the 2021 edition of IIFL Hallus India Rich List.
Laboratory promoters Divi, Murali Divali & Family, also consolidated their position as the richest hyderabadi.
Hyderabad can also hold on to fourth place among cities with a number of rich individuals with 56 barons which make this year’s cuts against 51 years ago.
This year, there are 1,007 individuals with more wealth than RS 1,000 Crore managed to reach a rich list.
Divis, which stands 17 in the 2020 edition list, has not only increased their position to 14th place this year, they also added their wealth with almost 61% to Rs 79,000 Crore from RS 49,200 Crore last year.
Promoter Hetero Group, B Parthasarathi Reddy & Family, also climbed a rich list with 23 places to reach the All-India 58 (81ST in 2020).
They almost doubled their wealth (up 88%) to Rs 26,100 Crore from Rs 13,900 Crore in 2020, moving to second place between the sets of Hyderabad.
The Hetero group promoter got rid of promoter Aurobindo Pharma PV Ramprasad Reddy from his second position among Richie-Richie who was rich in Hyderabad to third place this year with an all-India rating from 86.
Reddy Aurobindo fell 33 places with 6% erosion in the wealth of Rs 19,000 Crore.
Like last year, this year’s three Top Pharma weapons are the only Hyderabadi among the top 100 of the rich list.
