NEW DELHI: The PhD admissions in the Jamia Millia Islamia were postponed by a year because of this coronavirus stunt, officials said on Wednesday.
On Tuesdaythe varsity published the telling for PHD entry examinations for the calendar year 2020-21 rather than the present academic year 2021-22.
The entrance test will be kept for various areas between June 22 and June 28 in 2 changes while the outcome will be announced in the second week of July.

The main reason behind the delay is that the pandemic scenario, stated Dr Nazim Hussain Jafri, Controller of Examinations in the varsity.

“There is not any way the admissions could be held with no entry evaluation.

The Jamia Teachers’ Association (JTA) stated it was raising the matter.
“It’s been a significant problem and we’ve raised it.
It’s because of our constant efforts the notification was released.
Because of this COVID-19 scenario, the conditions were that the evaluation was postponed .
It had been scheduled in April a year ago but couldn’t occur because of the lockdown and it had been scheduled in October but because of this circumstance, it had been postponed,” that the JTA stated.
There were several lapses on the varsity’s part also and if they did admissions to different classes, they might have completed PhD admissions also, it stated.
“The PhD admissions occur just once postgraduate and undergraduate admissions and have been ran .
But we’ll need the varsity run the admissions to PhD for your calendar year 2021-22 from August-September,” it added.
