New Delhi: Philadelphia Health Officer on Thursday highly recommend everyone to wear a mask in the inner spaces, regardless of vaccination status.
“It’s time for all of us to do what we need to do to protect our city children.
That means fully vaccinated if you haven’t, and that means we will all return to wearing a mask in public,” said Acting Health.
Commissioner Cheryl Bettigole in a statement.
“Children under 12 years have not been vaccinated.
They need you to step.” Betigole added that the city witnessed “a small but disturbing increase in hospitalization because of Covid-19 among children.” Health officials asked the public to avoid crowded indoor spaces, and chose the outer space in the room.
They are more recommended “wear masks while in the room around people you don’t know vaccinated, and for people who are not vaccinated, consider the double sheath while in the indoor public space.” At present, 60.8 percent of adults in Philadelphia are fully vaccinated, and 73.9 percent have received at least one covid vaccine dose, according to officials.
“Until this week, more than one million people have been vaccinated in Philadelphia,” said Mayor Jim Kenney.
“The numbers clarify: vaccination is the best way to fight Covid-19 by protecting ourselves and the people around us.”
