New Delhi: The 2021 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday was given to Journalist Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov to fight for their struggle for freedom of expression each in the Philippines and Russia.
The two journalists were honored “because their efforts to protect freedom of expression, which was a prerequisite for democracy and peace that took place,” said the Chairman of the Nobel Norwegian Committee, said Reiss-Andersen, said.
