PHL license holder promises Rs 240 Crore to help sports at the grassroots level

New Delhi: Upcoming Premier Handball League License Holder, BlueSport Entertainment Pvt Ltd, has promised to invest RS 240 Crore to improve sports in this country, a proposal that has been welcomed by the National Federation.
The company said it would fund the growth of men and women’s hand balls in India in the next five years, “providing a very necessary encouragement not only at the elite level but also at grassroots”.
“In addition to creating a professional handball league and marketing, we also see a holistic approach to developing sports at grassroots levels …
and customized programs are mainly curated to train players, trainers and improve handball infrastructure in India,” Manu Agrawal, CEO and CEO Co-founder, Bluesport Entertainment Pvt Ltd said in a statement.
Indian handball federation welcomes support.
“Handballs as sports have seen large investments globally and sports have also grown exponentially as popularity and commercially,” said Anandeshwar Pandey, Executive Director, HFI.
“We have worked tightly on the development of handball in India for years now and believes this investment by Bluesport Entertainment will improve further processes,” he added.
The company has obtained the right for the Male and Female Phl League in India for the next 10 years.
With the investment of each Rs 120 Crore for the game of men and women, he plans to spend RS 35 Crore for the development of grassroots.
Played by more than 190 countries around the world, a popular handball in India at the grassroots level with more than 85,000 registered players today.
The first PHL edition is scheduled to take place next year.
