Bhubaneswar: After a more than one and a half years gap, the physical class for the 6th and 7th Standard students continued in Odisha on Monday.
Given the pandemic Covid-19 pandemic, class teaching for grade 6 and 7 students has been suspended since March 2020.

In some places, the school has placed a mural with a message of awareness to remind children of Covid-19 infection while in several other schools the teachers welcomed students with flowers, pen and chocolate.
“After doing thermal scans and ensuring wearing masks, students have been allowed to go to school.
After the settlement of teaching, they were allowed to go home at 1pm,” said Rajeswari Raypritiam, Headmistress, High School 8 Boy Unit.
The students expressed happiness for the reopening of the school.
“Physical teaching does not have an alternative.
It is easier to understand each subject while attending physical classes than online.
I am happy to attend classes physically and meet friends and teachers,” said a female student Unit-III Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir from Bhubaneswar.
However, some students choose to attend classes through online mode because vaccination students under 18 years have not started.
Students are allowed to attend classes through online or offline mode by consulting their parents.
