Kolkata: A relaxed photo clicked on the city sidewalk has dramatically changed the lives of two children.
The photo was from two children – aged 9 and 11 – sitting on the sidewalk, completely immersed in the study and not aware of the ruling foot, dirt and hustle and bustle on the road.
Their mother, a widow, runs the paan shop on the sidewalk.
Impressed with their wishes to learn, people stepped forward to help.
A family has taken the mother and two children – Sonia and Azmira Khatun – enter to give them a decent shelter.
Others help them with new clothes and one third made them accepted in a boarding school.
“I still feel happy about the fact that all of this starts from the picture I have casually clicked on one of my random road photography sessions.
I thank the good Samaritans who advanced to help these children and change family destiny , “said Patherya, a social worker, who had shot and shared a photo.
Pathera had clicked the photo in August, while walking in Bentinck Street in Central Kolkata when he saw children studying on the sidewalk.
When editing it later, he watched the posture bent from one of the children who touched it.
Pathera, with the help of one of his colleagues, tracks children and gives them school stationery and also share photos with some of his acquaintances and also on Instagram.
Karan Goenka garment retailers make them new clothes from the factory.
Vinayak Lohani’s social entrepreneur advanced to recognize them to the school hostel school for free.
