Srinagar: The government of Jammu & Kashmir has ordered the return of security pickets in all Kashmir Valley, especially in the city of Srinagar, where the targeted civilian killings increased since October.
The order came on the day when two terrorists were killed in the valley in two separate meetings.
One of the unknown terrorists was killed in the first meeting between hiding terrorists and security forces on Thursday morning in the Chawalgam area of the South Kashmir District.
The report said the police team and army personnel launched the Cordon-and-Search operation in Chawalgam.
When the team approached the place, terrorists hidden shooting at troops, triggering a shootout.
Another unknown terrorist was killed in a short meeting in the Bemina area in Srinagar on Thursday night.
Acting on a special leader about the existence of terrorists near the Bemina Police Station, a short shooting took place where an unknown terrorist was killed, a police officer said.
