In both cases, the extension of each year for three years can be given to the Board of Directors after cleaning by the committee formed to appoint their meeting, according to procedures.
The APEX court on September 8 has refused a challenging retrospective request in the order of 2018 Sanjay Kumar Mishra as Director of Ed, by saying that a reasonable extension period can be given to facilitate the resolution of the ongoing settlement.
The top court has explained it, however, the expansion of the term of office of officers who has achieved retirement age must be carried out in rare and extraordinary cases.
It has also explained that there are no further extensions that can be given to Mishra as Director of Ed.
