Aizawl: The Association of Mizoram Bar based in Aizawl (MBA) on Tuesday filed a litigation of public interest (pill) in the Gahati High Court on the economic blockade on the 306 national highway, the President of the Association and a senior advocate, said Anil Rinliana Malhotra.
Malhotra said the association had submitted a representation to the Central and State of Assam and Mizoram to take immediate action to end the NH 306 blockade, Mizoram’s lifetime, but it didn’t work.
“We were forced to apply for the sake of Mizoram people who were shaken in heavy trouble because of the ongoing economic criticism,” he said.
The association has submitted no No.
68 of 2020 in the Gahati High Court when Assam.
The government has imposed a road blockade for a month ago but this case was dismissed after the blockade was appointed, he said but added that the High Court gave the freedom MBA to apply for the initial pill managed by such a blockade clamped.
“The pill was submitted on the bench Aizawl High Court of Gahati, it was unknown whether the case would be tried in the Aizawl bench from the principal’s bench in Guwahati,” he said.
