Ranchi: Hindi exclusion as a language in the examination of the Jharkhand staff election commission that will come under the Scanner of the Jharkhand High Court with NGOs that submitt to litigate public interest in the Court on Tuesday.
EKTA Vikas Manch, a non-government organization headquartered in Seraagela, moved before the High Court stated that the rules were formulated by the government to conduct fundamental rights examination.
The government while formulating the rules to hold an examination has excluded Hindi and English but includes Urdu, Bengali and Odiya as a language for candidates who appear in the exam.
Manches in his request said the exception of Hindi was a drastic step and would have a negative impact on the fate of a large number of candidates.
However, with Urdu as an option to write in the exam, a group of certain students will be favored by the constitutional mandate, the petition said.
Furthermore, it has been obtained that Urdu is not widely taught in the state and is limited to madarsas that serve the education of minority community.
The inclusion of the Urdu and the exception of an extensive Hindi language that is widely accepted seems to be a decision that is influenced by Politicics, Mansh said.
The government’s decision to remove Hindi and English from the category of tribal and regional languages in this country will affect all proficient candidates in vernacular language, the petition said.
In addition, Hindi is a media of education in most government schools in the state and exceptions will eliminate candidates, the Petitioner said.
